Avviare was started after much research and experience revealed an opportunity in the animal health industry for expertise bridging the gap between science and business. Julia Stephanus

President

Julia is a highly accomplished senior executive who has experience in building and scaling two successful start-up veterinary pharmaceutical businesses. She has over 30 years of industry experience and has a large range of skills ranging from general management practices, to product development, commercialization, IPOs, and strategic planning. She has commercially developed and launched over 25 new regulated products that exceeded sales and profit targets. After a successful career at Pfizer, Julia founded and led Summit VetPharm and sold it to Ceva, where she led their Global Companion Animal Franchise. As Chief Commercial Officer Julia assisted in taking Aratana Therapeutics (NASDAQ; PETX) public and building their commercial organization. She has served numerous executive positions and has transformed the Animal Health Industry by her expertise and guidance in a consulting role. Julia received a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and has completed a plethora of Executive Training Courses from Institutions like Harvard, Columbia, and Wharton.

Amanda Curtis

Consultant

Amanda is a passionate researcher and learner who has earned a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science at Oklahoma State University (OSU), a Masters in Animal Molecular Biology (OSU), a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship at the University of Oklahoma (OU) and a Masters of Management Information Technology (OU). Amanda has over seven years of laboratory experience domestically and internationally in various scientific fields and has worked for OU's Office of Technology Development, where she commercialized and developed their intellectual property. Amanda is currently working with numerous angel investment groups and VC entities in the Midwest region where she conducts due diligence and deal flow management with early to mid stage companies. Amanda has launched her own successful start-up, Nutripeutics, which is aimed at promoting alternatives to antibiotics, and has consulted with numerous other start-ups in the Animal and Human health industries.

Dr. Juliet Penaliggon

Consultant

Juliet has over 25 years of experience in Animal Health. A veterinarian and marketing professional, Juliet has extensive experience in international brand management, product development and launch, sales and marketing management and marketing communications for leading animal health companies including Merial, Pharmacia Animal Health, Summit VetPharm, Ceva, and Elanco. Education: Bristol University Veterinary School; Cambridge Marketing College.
